Williamsburgh Housing Association’s 46th Annual General Meeting took place on 9th September 2026 at the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew.
Chairperson John Scott welcomed members and reflected on another successful year for the Association. He thanked Management Committee members for their continued support and governance, as well as staff for their dedication to delivering high-quality services to customers.
During the meeting, members heard how the Association remains focused on providing affordable rents, quality homes, responsive repairs and safe, attractive neighbourhoods.
Over the past year, investment in homes continued through improvements including new kitchens and bathrooms, painting programmes, tenant safety works, insulation upgrades and triple-glazed windows, helping make homes more comfortable and energy efficient.
The Association's Financial Wellbeing team also helped customers secure more than £1 million in financial support, including benefit entitlements, energy support payments, school clothing grants and emergency assistance.
Despite rising costs and increasing regulatory requirements, Williamsburgh continues to keep rents among the lowest in Renfrewshire and across Scotland. The Association also remains debt free, ensuring that rental income is invested directly into services and homes rather than loan repayments.
The Chairperson also confirmed that the Association's 11 Management Committee members will continue to serve for the next 12 months.
Following the AGM, attendees had the opportunity to visit the Connections Hub, where residents, staff and partner organisations came together to discuss local issues, ask questions and share ideas. These conversations help the Association better understand and respond to the needs of customers and communities.
