Find out what happened at the 2023 Annual General Meeting

Williamsburgh Housing Association’s Annual General Meeting took place on13th September 2023 at the Glynhill Hotel, Paisley.

Both shareholding and non shareholding members received a warm welcome from Chairperson, John Scott, who highlighted that it had been another fantastic year for the Association, as progress was made to deliver the objectives contained within the business plan and noted that getting the services right was even more important this year. With the cost-of-living crisis hitting everyone, the organisation was determined to ensure that we could offer as much support and help as possible.

Mr Scott thanked his fellow Committee members for their support and acknowledged the amazing amount of business undertaken, whilst maintaining the Corporate Governance of Williamsburgh Housing Association under full control throughout.

The Chairperson also declared that 10 Committee members will duly serve as the Committee of Management for the next twelve months.

Commenting on the event, John said, “This year’s Annual General Meeting was well attended. Thank you to all those who took the time to attend. It was fantastic to witness plenty of time being taken at the conclusion of the A.G.M. to allow tenants and staff to discuss things that matter 1-2-1. This greatly assists us in understanding and prioritising your needs for the future. We plan to continue in this vein with the appointment of a Tenant Engagement Officer. Please watch this space for opportunities to interact in the future. Thank you again for attending."
