Find out what happened at the 2024 Annual General Meeting

Williamsburgh Housing Association’s 45th Annual General Meeting took place on 11th September 2024 at the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew.

Shareholding and non-shareholding members received a warm welcome from the Chairperson, John Scott, who highlighted that it had been another fantastic year for the Association, as progress was made to deliver the objectives contained within the business plan and noted that getting the services right was even more important this year. With the cost-of-living crisis hitting everyone, the organisation was determined to ensure that we could offer as much support and help as possible.

John thanked his fellow Committee members for their support and acknowledged the amazing amount of business undertaken, whilst maintaining the Corporate Governance of Williamsburgh Housing Association under full control throughout.

The Chairperson also declared that 13 Committee members will duly serve as the Committee of Management for the next twelve months.

Commenting on the event, John said, “This year’s Annual General Meeting was very well attended. Thank you to all those who took the time to attend. It was fantastic to witness plenty of time being taken prior to and following the conclusion of the A.G.M. at our ‘Connections Hub’, to allow residents, staff and local community groups to discuss things that matter 1-2-1. This greatly assists us in understanding and prioritising your needs for the future”.

Congratulations to all the winners of our fabulous free prize draw.
