SHIELDING AND PROTECTING VULNERABLE PEOPLE
If you receive a letter from the Chief Medical Officer about shielding, it's because the NHS has identified you as having an underlying disease or health condition that means if you catch the virus, you are more likely to become seriously ill than others.
If you need help with essential supplies, like food or prescriptions, you can call the Local Assistance Helpline on 0300 300 0230.
The helpline is open 8.45am - 4.45pm, Monday - Sunday.
You can also email Shielding.Support.Referrals@renfrewshire.gov.uk out of these hours and a member of the team will get in touch.
